PEPPOL-COMMON-R057
What does PEPPOL-COMMON-R057 mean? Dutch Chamber of Commerce Establishment numbers (0217) MUST be stated in the correct format (123456789012).
Why did my invoice fail PEPPOL-COMMON-R057?
When a party is identified with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) Establishment number scheme (ICD 0217), the identifier must follow the prescribed 12-digit format, e.g. 123456789012. Peppol enforces this format so Dutch establishment numbers can be reliably matched against the KvK register. The check applies to any endpoint or party identifier carrying schemeID 0217.

Common causes
- Using the 8-digit KvK registration number instead of the 12-digit establishment (vestigings) number
- Including spaces, dots or a country prefix in the identifier
- Identifier truncated or padded to the wrong length
- Wrong schemeID: the value belongs to a different scheme than 0217
How do I fix it?
