What does PEPPOL-COMMON-R045 mean? Tax Code (Codice Fiscale) must be stated in the correct format
Why did my invoice fail PEPPOL-COMMON-R045?
An Italian Tax Code (Codice Fiscale, schemeID 0210) used as an identifier must be stated in the correct format. The Codice Fiscale is 11 to 16 alphanumeric characters, and this Peppol rule rejects values outside that pattern.

Tax Code (Codice Fiscale) must be stated in the correct format
Common causes
- Value shorter than 11 or longer than 16 characters
- Spaces or punctuation inside the code
- VAT number with IT prefix supplied where the bare tax code is expected
