A Belgian enterprise number used as an identifier must be stated in the correct format. Belgian enterprise numbers (schemeID 0208) are ten digits starting with 0 or 1, and this Peppol rule flags values that do not conform.

Common causes

• Dots or spaces kept from the printed format (e.g. 0123.456.789)
• Nine-digit legacy number without the leading 0
• VAT-prefixed value (BE...) used where the bare enterprise number is expected
