Why did my invoice fail PEPPOL-COMMON-R050?

An Australian Business Number (ABN, schemeID 0151) used as an identifier must be stated in the correct format. The ABN is an 11-digit number with its own checksum, and this Peppol rule rejects malformed values.

Common causes

• Spaces kept from the printed ABN format (e.g. 51 824 753 556)
• Wrong digit count
• ABN checksum failure due to a typo
