Why did my invoice fail UBL-CR-654?
A UBL invoice should not include the PayeeFinancialAccount scheme identifier. EN 16931 restricts the use of schemeID attributes to the identifiers where the standard explicitly defines one; on this element the attribute carries no meaning in the semantic model, so it should not appear. Drop the schemeID attribute and send the identifier as plain element content.

Common causes
- Serializer adds a schemeID attribute to every cbc identifier by default
- Value copied from another document type (e.g. order) where the attribute was used
- Mapping library populates optional attributes with empty or placeholder values
