UBL-CR-205
What does UBL-CR-205 mean? A UBL invoice should not include the AccountingCustomerParty Party MarkAttentionIndicator
Why did my invoice fail UBL-CR-205?
This EN 16931 rule warns when the UBL element cac:AccountingCustomerParty/cac:Party/cbc:MarkAttentionIndicator is present: the invoice should not include a mark-attention ("attention of") indicator on the buyer party. Attention-of information is not part of the core model; if a person should be addressed, use the buyer contact point (BT-56) under cac:Contact instead of this indicator. The element is not forbidden by UBL itself, but it lies outside the EN 16931 core invoice model, so remove it to keep the invoice fully conformant and interoperable.
Official rule text
A UBL invoice should not include the AccountingCustomerParty Party MarkAttentionIndicator
Common causes
- Attention-of data mapped to the indicator instead of the buyer contact (BT-56)
- Full UBL 2.1 export enabling all optional elements
- Legacy postal-addressing fields carried over from another format
