UBL-CR-190
What does UBL-CR-190 mean? A UBL invoice should not include the AccountingSupplierParty Party Contact Telefax
Why did my invoice fail UBL-CR-190?
This EN 16931 rule warns when the UBL element cac:AccountingSupplierParty/cac:Party/cac:Contact/cbc:Telefax is present: the invoice should not include a fax number on the seller contact. The seller contact (BG-6) carries only name (BT-41), telephone (BT-42) and e-mail (BT-43); fax is not a business term in EN 16931. The element is not forbidden by UBL itself, but it lies outside the EN 16931 core invoice model, so remove it to keep the invoice fully conformant and interoperable.
Official rule text
A UBL invoice should not include the AccountingSupplierParty Party Contact Telefax
Common causes
- Legacy ERP contact data still includes a fax number and the mapping passes it through
- Template based on an older UBL sample that included Telefax
- Field-by-field export of the full contact record
